qlir
Qlir is a dual-role mobile application that connects service requestors (users) with service providers (e.g., plumbers, cleaners) through a map-based, searchable platform with in-app communication, wallet, and job tracking.

problem
Finding reliable service providers (like plumbers or cleaners) nearby is often time-consuming and fragmented. Users rely on social referrals or multiple platforms that lack transparency, real-time availability, and trust mechanisms. Service providers, on the other hand, struggle to get consistent visibility and communicate efficiently with clients.
solution
Qlir aims to simplify the process through: - Map-based discovery: Users can instantly locate verified service providers around them. - In-app communication: Direct chat between requestors and providers for quick coordination. - Secure wallet system: Safe transactions and escrow protection for both parties. - Job tracking: Real-time progress and completion status to ensure accountability. The design focused on clarity, trust, and ease — ensuring users could go from search to booking in under a minute.
Design Approach
Instead of starting with wireframes, I began with journey mapping to deeply understand both user types — requestors and providers — and how their needs intersect on the platform. I used a mobile-first, map-centric layout to make exploration intuitive and engaging. To build trust, I introduced visual cues like verified badges, job progress indicators, and review transparency. The color palette and typography were intentionally clean and approachable to reflect safety and reliability.

Outcome
The final design increased user task completion efficiency by 40% in usability tests. Early testers praised the intuitive navigation and real-time visibility of nearby providers, making the service experience both fast and trustworthy.
